Booktastic Our pubs pulled out all the stops for World Book Day. Check out our highlights gallery featuring teammates and the amazing book displays they created! Here are a few of our fave snaps…. At The Blaina Wharf, teammates hosted a character day with visits from Woody, Buzz and Princess Jasmine. At The Conqueror’s March, the Alice-in-Wonderland tea-party went down a storm! At The Copper Beech, the team put heaps of effort into dressing up in Oompah Loompah costumes for a Charlie and The Chocolate Factory themed book day. They even had a chocolate fountain! Teammates got into the spirit at The Guelder Rose. Kim, General Manager at The Crow’s Nest, wowed with her princess party. All the decorations were handmade! At The Newhall Farm, the team got local children involved with a character profile competition. Sophie at The Field Farm pulled out all the stops to decorate the pub for a special breakfast with the Gruffalo. Team Spindle and Thread absolutely rocked a Matilda-themed world Book Day. They also hosted a quiz and encouraged customers to get involved in the book exchange. We’re loving the cosy book corner at The Stags Leap. Selfie time for teammates at The Swan and Cygnet! Robin Hood stopped by The Alders to entertain the little ones. At The Crown, teammates coordinated their costumes and we’re loving the ‘Where’s Wolly’ theme. At The Fallow Field, team members dressed up as their fave book characters and put loads of books on display for a customer book exchange. Charlotte at The Gunpowder Mill pulled out all the stops with her chicken costume! Teammates at The Knot and Plough wowed with their creative costumes. At The Mermaid, the team hosted a Mary Poppins-themed World Book Day. The team at The Pepper Mill got into the spirit with their costumes! Check out the book corner at The Riverside Inn. We’re loving the costumes from the kitchen team at The Squirrel! Cameron, team member at The Sand Martin, looks fantastic in his BFG costume! A great book display from the team at The Tawny Owl. Check out the incredible costumes from the team at The Trading Post. They also had a bring-and-buy book sale, with proceeds going to Hall Meadow Primary School in Kettering. Teammates at The Trawlerman hosted their very own story-time on World Book Day. We’re loving the book display at The White Post. At The Viking’s Landing, teammates popped their costumes on and made sure local children had plenty of books to choose from! The Waterloo Cross team getting in to the spirit on World Book Day.
